I’m a Pinterest addict!  I saw this <a href="http://www.flamingotoes.com/2012/02/felt-embroidered-bookmark/">pin</a> and thought it would make a great craft.  I changed a few things and love how it turned out.</p> <p>Supplies: felt, white or black elastic, embroidery floss, needle, hot glue</p> <p>1. Cut 2 circles out of the felt. I cut circles with my <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sizzix-657900-Cutting-Embossing-Scrapbooking/dp/B00BWJCCI6/ref=dp_ob_title_def">Sizzix</a>. Hand embroider your design on one circle. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigYVUwXzoLzlcxecw8dAhM5w9Wu4vXXUbSHIzAKUfsJmHxE81ASKIkokmVTqM1Zxivauit-I27sQqT0wTJg-IHTabjM0MzjAu_f9KheYgwk94RDqQMGKs5Zq6hbqb53dADP5NEFXqJMZs/s1600-h/circles%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img title="circles" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="circles" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgweokiWqs3IM6ZoXFNcGmdzzaYezOreJeBAstkr3Hai95h53qwMRodR1KnXQJGFv4AimCcK50PgW4zVH35lmwKQesVez8zHIi18EaAgHN73up_RKCRJWQP0JDcYdavN9cPI04Cb4lRvWA/?imgmax=800" width="644" height="429" /></a></p> <p>2. I did a lot, A LOT of threading needles and tying knots.  I did put the bookmarks together for them. Here is a picture of their finished bookmarks.</p> <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdDlR9ms37a5JIYwXzHn4JjuRLMIXoOnX7wxeNZy4_vnMVJQ6YFMUrz8Hps6QljL9V3Q3cQuX_wj_tVqnTVCiE0dDNoKnuV2AjocAl6qu62goMw4mTA9LOZyprpGa7MHFzGK5wRqvDC8A/s1600-h/girlsbookmarks%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img title="girlsbookmarks" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="girlsbookmarks" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivPtulNszAbJuxG123EW8GA5wDbup71WmhhEba4EHs9ko5guLjiEESrzB-67W4XEQJJNpufe8KRt33E3DBmanttRQXxq1lTzfB_ZyZboMbXOgpXFb3qNUaidlGy1PipGAlF-N_NftK3Hs/?imgmax=800" width="929" height="772" /></a></p> <p>I also made some bookmarks with cutting out shapes with my Sizzix and attached them to the front instead of hand embroidering. It’s no secret that I love to sew! I got into sewing a few years ago when I got a sewing machine for my birthday. This was just after my second daughter turned 7 months old. I’m a stay at home mom, and I found that crafting and sewing gave me a creative outlet and things that I could actually finish and accomplish on a day to day basis. <br />
Don’t get me wrong, I love being at home with my girls, and wouldn’t trade it for anything. But it’s a never ending job and things like dishes, laundry, and cleaning are never completely done or finished, maybe for a few minutes and then they are not finished anymore. <img alt="Smile" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc567fduv2-SU_TFozp-qvPKMitLWx5IehogTFzTg4b3aFh_TPI53PuUnWoIOXt_F9ZjtrZmYbmE1GVA5dM7UZPl2wIBd7dDzRLQoHYJohCZDHDJNVTUOVgvBW88Tt1UuiU7iP6_5mMPs/?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none;" /> <br />
So sewing, crafting, and making jewelry have been a great way to be creative and something I wish I had started when I was younger.<br />
I wanted to share one of my favorite patterns, the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/29557115/sis-boom-patricia-tunic-with-scientific?ref=sr_gallery_10&ga_search_query=sis+boom+pattern&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ref=auto4&ga_search_type=all">Patricia Tunic by Sis Boom</a>.<br />

This is my favorite shirt pattern by Sis Boom. I absolutely love how comfortable this tunic is and the fit is fantastic! This pattern is very detailed with great pictures for every step. The best part is you can print off your size and not have to piece all the sizes together and then cut your size afterwards (like most pdf pattens). <br />
I’ve made two tunics so far and hope to make one more this winter/spring. I made both of my tunics in Amy Butler fabrics. The blue tunic is made in <a href="https://www.fabric.com/buy/eq-271/amy-butler-lark-dreamer-ivy-bloom-cobalt-blue">Amy Butler’s Lark Dreamer Ivy Bloom Cobalt Blue</a>. The purple/orange tunic is in <a href="https://www.fabric.com/buy/cn-368/amy-butler-love-sandlewood-tangerine">Amy Butler’s Love Sandlewood Tangerine</a>. <br />

<h3>
</h3>
I followed the directions exactly for this pattern except, I did shorten the side vents and did a slightly gathered sleeve. I love how it turned out!<br />
I’m in a group on Facebook called the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/113650988556/">Scientific Seamstress Lab Group</a> and it’s wonderful to share your finished projects and even to ask questions or get help with the Sis Boom/ Scientific Seamstress patterns! For the last few weeks, I've been very excited to launch a beautiful,
new, and more affordable line of Hand Stamped necklaces! My Pewter Collection,
is hand cast in fine pewter and each pendant has a slightly different shape making them truly unique.
Approximately the sizes of pendants are 7/8 inch, 1 inch, and 1 1/4inch, they are nice and thick and have a
great weight to them. They all come with either a 16 or 18 inch sterling silver plated thick flat cable chain, fresh water pearl or Swarovski birthstone(s). They range in price from only $20 and up. </center>

<center>
In August of this year, I was so excited and surprised to find out that I was expecting my 4th baby! By eight weeks along I knew something was wrong, and an ultrasound confirmed my baby died at 6.5 weeks and I miscarried at 10 weeks. I know a lot of people don't say much about miscarriage or early infant loss but it has hit me hard. I lost my baby and one of the hardest things is for everything to go on like nothing happened. Most of all I wanted a "remembrance" of my baby and I designed a couple of necklaces for myself. I wear one of them almost daily. I decided to sell these in my etsy shop to bring comfort to other women who have experienced a miscarriage or infant loss. I added a birthstone to each necklace, for mine, a April birthstone for when my baby was due. </center>
<center>
Here is the info about these precious and close to my heart necklaces. </center>

I have a Little Lady with a Peanut Allergy. We are a peanut/nut free house but since she's only 2, I knew I needed to either buy or make a peanut allergy medical alert necklace. So I made these cute bottle cap necklaces, and wanted to make them inexpensive for other Little Ladies with peanut allergies. They are only $4.50 plus shipping. They'd make a great gift for any little girl with a peanut allergy. Check them out at my <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/115784762/peanut-allergy-medical-alert-bottle-cap">shop</a> . </center>

<center>
Hi! I'm a total Pinterest addict! I love everything from DIY, recipes, crafts, etc. I also co-lead crafts for our Moms group (like MOPS). My friend Stacy and I love to come up with fun crafts and Pinterest has made it much easier to get ideas from. I had pinned <a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/61924563597576685/">this</a> and we thought it would be perfect for our next craft day. It didn't have a tutorial so I came up with my own and want to share it with you! </center>
<center>
</center>
<center>
Things you will need: </center>
<center>
A 13 inch mdf or wooden letter </center>
<center>
burlap</center>
<center>
muslin or linen</center>
<center>
acrylic paint </center>
<center>
floral berries, flowers, buttons for embellishment</center>
<center>
hot glue</center>
<center>
sandpaper</center>
<center>
</center>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Most of our items were purchased at Hobby Lobby (♥ that store)! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHxp8R1la56CBc8tFv5luwEDD-QyWJIdeBBbRcGmpOBJEEhyphenhyphengGtxJ6jZMlfoAKuszS4jfI8Yx7iWzwMIhVXcj3i3HHKGlXjqPhsBEZv7xvm5BBqBwJ-veWso0WSK3EfqQKHn3GlRee1LE/s1600/plain.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="622" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHxp8R1la56CBc8tFv5luwEDD-QyWJIdeBBbRcGmpOBJEEhyphenhyphengGtxJ6jZMlfoAKuszS4jfI8Yx7iWzwMIhVXcj3i3HHKGlXjqPhsBEZv7xvm5BBqBwJ-veWso0WSK3EfqQKHn3GlRee1LE/s640/plain.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<center>
Take your Letter and paint the front and sides. I used acrylic paint.</center>
<center>
</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh24P9e8y6iTLJVfpnBFbK6kVIg6wjaa5-icHECfvwqsj-WbxbhqS5kl9wz7gUKujOYDGftwBtaq6pgrDoOJWTgDTtWJK9FaEZN9emtZ3I_bATQK9upq8WLtOioB-zU4NSxzHuNHowzyBo/s1600/paint.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="620" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh24P9e8y6iTLJVfpnBFbK6kVIg6wjaa5-icHECfvwqsj-WbxbhqS5kl9wz7gUKujOYDGftwBtaq6pgrDoOJWTgDTtWJK9FaEZN9emtZ3I_bATQK9upq8WLtOioB-zU4NSxzHuNHowzyBo/s640/paint.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<center>
</center>
<center>
<br /><div style="text-align: left;">
Next, you need to figure out how you want to hang it. Some letters are easier than others :) Having a last name with a "J" was a little tricky but I think it turned out nice. Some letters you can simply wrap the burlap around the top.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjIjiVmVO6UY4GGDJuucZW8ovTyRdLW_L2ud7K2kcj-InLl8xZkVMG11AZGaCVQ1hybB_F4tlXJYbBUpFQRwksTnR1mjW3jEGzIZIJDKiWlLzf7zcAps_HffpJ5nKhm-bHBqRaI_BuL0E/s1600/first+loop.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjIjiVmVO6UY4GGDJuucZW8ovTyRdLW_L2ud7K2kcj-InLl8xZkVMG11AZGaCVQ1hybB_F4tlXJYbBUpFQRwksTnR1mjW3jEGzIZIJDKiWlLzf7zcAps_HffpJ5nKhm-bHBqRaI_BuL0E/s640/first+loop.jpg" width="468" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I folded a piece of burlap and hot glued the ends on the back of my letter. Then I took a piece of muslin and put it through the loop on top.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSUXqrXeF3YzpmeiOzS6O7aW5GIGv-t2aDFuQpRiqPgSzGZs_DVtI4e8Khviv8w6uD6B8AYDAS3BUKNgR5Qe47rANvdo2gDgUG8OAo-wJ8ZhyXtwRw5FYSPRqAPRVGh7jjQxxYMYVIkuY/s1600/muslin.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="542" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSUXqrXeF3YzpmeiOzS6O7aW5GIGv-t2aDFuQpRiqPgSzGZs_DVtI4e8Khviv8w6uD6B8AYDAS3BUKNgR5Qe47rANvdo2gDgUG8OAo-wJ8ZhyXtwRw5FYSPRqAPRVGh7jjQxxYMYVIkuY/s640/muslin.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Then came the fun part, embellishing! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPtDn_l3mKSeMW1Ni33Xiv3i40iVjKF7nsdymQIHAp_YyZ9Oak-C8xwU1Cm1HcnNNxdo2cqOmmm7w9AWSohhHTOO68YGUHrHOD9Ul_jEQqWT3Voe8d0HR-BaLYvsh3GB-VdhzBNSOvZcY/s1600/bow.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPtDn_l3mKSeMW1Ni33Xiv3i40iVjKF7nsdymQIHAp_YyZ9Oak-C8xwU1Cm1HcnNNxdo2cqOmmm7w9AWSohhHTOO68YGUHrHOD9Ul_jEQqWT3Voe8d0HR-BaLYvsh3GB-VdhzBNSOvZcY/s400/bow.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a simple bow (just tied a knot) with a wide stripe of burlap and then hot glued it to the burlap attached to my letter.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbbtCuOnHrd3iNx2KZO_RbkVTVsrcMPM-bezs2ZgHXfwxwEEPmiznrjO3rqopITdwGiT8WcUHswHZH6KiYSSsUYDBwol-eRgmhKgMBgJ__94lH8A6cPOG9RI-02QFd5BborNNJWfjujfo/s1600/bow+attached.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="482" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbbtCuOnHrd3iNx2KZO_RbkVTVsrcMPM-bezs2ZgHXfwxwEEPmiznrjO3rqopITdwGiT8WcUHswHZH6KiYSSsUYDBwol-eRgmhKgMBgJ__94lH8A6cPOG9RI-02QFd5BborNNJWfjujfo/s640/bow+attached.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</center>
<center>
Next, I hot glued some floral berries to the burlap and made sure that my rosettes would cover the bottom of them.</center>
<center>
</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8VixVl5yoTpfkYpTSe4f_istXusNBxWSqpSVavA2JU_mAkM8TrONF_at-QRSN0tXbMp2mwOctQlUW83z8CpkYhjzNgk0V-qabiXTyqeuKW5HAnotX_qzoHNWRnSHoEJK3hK1yWCWJx2Q/s1600/berries.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="454" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8VixVl5yoTpfkYpTSe4f_istXusNBxWSqpSVavA2JU_mAkM8TrONF_at-QRSN0tXbMp2mwOctQlUW83z8CpkYhjzNgk0V-qabiXTyqeuKW5HAnotX_qzoHNWRnSHoEJK3hK1yWCWJx2Q/s640/berries.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<center>
</center>
<center>
Then I made rosettes and hot glued them on.</center>
<center>
</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQz_Z7VV58STWn6mhfjm05rIQlTyiv_vad8fck2JBCClvqGJnjAEu5f8MGT0dPxWNR8AQSBwUX1s_EP_HDrANZnkpCr5qpzcjxEJTmmALU8wYhazGe7H2lTmPwAC5uh1NCQIKBB9i0SiY/s1600/rosette.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="456" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQz_Z7VV58STWn6mhfjm05rIQlTyiv_vad8fck2JBCClvqGJnjAEu5f8MGT0dPxWNR8AQSBwUX1s_EP_HDrANZnkpCr5qpzcjxEJTmmALU8wYhazGe7H2lTmPwAC5uh1NCQIKBB9i0SiY/s640/rosette.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>

<center>
</center>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I sanded the edges to get a distressed look and then added a few more rosettes to the bottom of the J also.</div>

I recently saw a new technique on Pinterest. Tea Dyeing fabric and onesies! As soon as I saw this I knew that I would have to try it! I love, love onesies, especially creating something cute for baby girls and boys! </center>
<center>
I followed the tutorial <a href="http://bnnbcrafts.blogspot.com/2011/12/tea-dyeing-tutorial.html">here</a> and couldn't be happier with the results. I put a few onesies, muslin, chiffon, lace, and other trims in the tea liquid. It took a few times in the tea liquid to get the darker color that I wanted. </center>

One of my nieces is expecting her first baby, a baby girl! I couldn't be at the shower so I wanted to make something really special for her. Here is what I came up with.</center>

I started with a heart doily and used some lace trim and sewed it around the heart. I decided on a fabric in my stash (Amy Butler) and thought it would be perfect with the tea dyeing and made a frayed flower with pearls. </center>

I made the skirt with a double layer with a chiffon ruffle that peeks out. This skirt is similar to my skirt from my owl onesie outfit. I love all the ruffles! To finish the ensemble, I also made a matching headband with a similar flower from the onesie and two flower rosettes. </center>

I made this cute owl outfit for one of my niece's baby girl. I decided to make my owl onesie the I sell in my etsy store and made a matching skirt. I loved how it turned out. I made the skirt with two layers and added some light pink ruffled chiffon to make it a little more ruffly, fluffy, and girly (just the way I like)! </center>

My oldest daughter wanted to have another big birthday party this year. Ella loves to dance and most of her friends are in her dance class as well. <br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkLKjteDzKtyzOT4DbMLji3aototc3sttJ_Ey5H62Xe2-Ui7ny7WCMQfXaNH1PmPEGNLJAeqBk-S2aHtoz1CNIoqGoWps1o2h1-X06ucXzkMZW5UZwD-BvF6_GwDdQYoxQopobo6_5kV4/s1600-h/cake3%25255B9%25255D.jpg"><img alt="cake3" border="0" height="429" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj5lquGnTzzaTPp8o2SnOHyR9RFQR0UKM2hPaGHfmjCQwH-gRO2nl9-VKfcrKcTi6NoNDYMfHpDILtuRSwFerYngAJNyrLwDuoVsEusR8OVCfquIzwcIsllZTiqxUFTTT48dBbv1U_IjI/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="cake3" width="644" /></a><br />
I love to craft and sew, so I tend to go a little overboard when I throw a party. I make my own decorations, food, cakes which make the party within a reasonable budget. Here is what I made. <br />
For decorations I used pink and pink/white damask tablecloths, I made pink tulle pom-poms and strung them with yarn, a few balloons from the dollar store, dress form necklace holders with hand stamped necklaces (party favor), ballet shoe wall hanging, dress form with a pink tutu, vanity with mirror with a pink tray with lace crowns (party favor), and a cake stand I made from an old chandelier. Here is the tutorial that I followed <a href="http://www.iheartnaptime.net/diy-cake-stand/">http://www.iheartnaptime.net/diy-cake-stand/</a> <br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieWfUNZJELKHHyJw1dUf_ybp-4xtgjgP2nHWdlxvgyHh0RuVnTN1t-4vi54fBp8HK2DA7OVXuZ3FmATKa7R8m49SnQXU17CPTxZr-Xe8ptIBdVu7dCDqtdHG2gayoEG76vP9kFXA6Q6WY/s1600-h/ellacake%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img alt="ellacake" border="0" height="461" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgcGrjut0lu2qlQmjSeEGQ9jw9LArnsCFqyQOU8lXl1thHHfRhMxVKzNJqvdByNS5VHTFh3m5cbX1Orx7em8XgDmTpNBBmInmCk4kZZO9KX5O4FRLlFurkqBdJCF6M_hi9kpiiB_ZzBzw/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="ellacake" width="644" /></a><br />
For the food I made 5 small cakes with pink rosette frosting, pink cake pops, marshmallow wands, and pirouette cookie sticks. It was also a tea party so we had antique teacups and plates, served with pink lemonade. The girls loved it!<br />

Crafts. We had had pink party bags and each girl got to decorate their bag. There was a lot of markers, crayons, stamps, stickers, glue, and glitter! Then we made beaded bracelets with a ballerina tutu charm.<br />

I recently got an international order from Australia! I'm always excited when I get international orders. The order was for 11 of My Ballerina Tutu Bun Wraps. It was for a
birthday party and the buyer loved them! I took a few photos of the
completed order. So much pale pink fluffy tutu-ness!</div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It was pretty neat that is was an order to Melbourne, Australia. My college roommate and one of my bffs, Bridgette, and I went to Melbourne on Spring Break while we were in college one year. We had a fabulous and unforgettable time! It's neat to think that something I made has made itself back to Australia. : ) </div>

I really love how this tunic/dress came all together but I think next time I will allow myself more time. : ) My good friend Bridgette from <a href="http://www.fancybelle.com/">Fancybelle</a> and I had a great time with our sew-a-long. <br />
The first day I put the darts and zipper in on the back pieces and did the lining at the same time. The front pieces went together smoothly but I did have to redo the neckline a couple of times. I’m not used to such a large seam allowance (1/2 inch). That made it more challenging for me especially around the neckline and sleeves. I was very happy that everything fit together nicely. I was a little worried about the puff cap sleeves but they went together pretty smoothly. <br />

I really wanted to wear this for Mother’s Day, and it was long enough on me to wear it as a dress! I did take a slip that I had purchased on clearance for $1 and attached some ruffle fabric that matched the colors in my tunic. It took me a total of about 10 minutes and added a little pop of color and some just a little length for when I sat down. With my one year old crawling all over my lap, it gave me more coverage! : ) <br />
I have a few pictures but didn’t take as many as I wanted. Most of last week I spent the time from 7pm to 10pm working on this tunic. I plan on making a much shorter version of this so I can wear it this summer. I will have to adjust the bodice a little bit so I won’t have to wear a cami under it. Since it’s fully lined, it would be incredibly hot to wear in the summer with three layers! : ) <br />
I would really recommend to other Sewing Lovers to check out Amy Butler patterns. She does a great job and the finished products is soooo cute and look like I bought it in a department store. Here is a break down of the cost to make this tunic – $27 Amy Butler fabric, $13 Amy Butler Lotus Tunic pattern, $3 invisible zipper, $8 muslin (for lining) = $51 Sewing is not a cheap hobby, but I love creating, maybe designing someday!<br />
And I also did have to make a matching hair accessory for my tunic! Hope you enjoy!<br />

We both did Amy Butler's Cabo Halter top pattern last month and wanted to do any other pattern by Amy Butler. We both love, love (did I say Love) Amy Butler fabric! </p> <p>Here is our timeline (meaning during naptime & after kids are in bed): </p> <p>Mon May 7: Trace and Cut Pattern </p> <p>Tues May 8-Weds May 9: Sewing </p> <p>Thurs May 10-Fri May 11: Finishing </p> <p>This pattern looks more challenging but I'm ready for it. It's so fun sewing along with a friend even though we live in different states! Not only do we get to make something for ourselves, we can help each other out if we need help. Plus, I'd probably find a million other things to do instead of make something for myself! I decided to go with the fabric on the cover of the pattern (real original, right)! </p> <p>Amy Butler Twilight Peony in Saffron for main body of Tunic</p> <div style="text-align: center; clear: both" class="separator"><a style="margin-bottom: 1em; float: left; clear: left; margin-right: 1em" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheSjTCI6hPEuG61_GhFLJ3lDq9UyCDyXy01PQFItPocE2TCIarKEHxt1XE_gSnWJW-h4tINr14CUr8PofTZkF77ab0nY_HC-rzY9rmfHC5oVyvxCAy9Zojbu_gVaAs5VYh9C3GjIhcXDc/s1600/twilight+peony.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheSjTCI6hPEuG61_GhFLJ3lDq9UyCDyXy01PQFItPocE2TCIarKEHxt1XE_gSnWJW-h4tINr14CUr8PofTZkF77ab0nY_HC-rzY9rmfHC5oVyvxCAy9Zojbu_gVaAs5VYh9C3GjIhcXDc/s320/twilight+peony.jpg" width="291" height="320" /></a></div> <div style="text-align: center; clear: both" class="separator"><a style="margin-bottom: 1em; float: left; clear: left; margin-right: 1em" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmq_xEVI_fpjvMM2DMsTs3dLFHEIkHO8oXMtmaT1h_YjZiYJ5qmyXZuNGdB7DZvlIa9DWCiP3cupDQ4GoYEbGvoQ0Hy0cmGGUaT3dH5Wf2iFwheDlEVmvNHRGFmh0YZSxXoSqQQqN0kco/s1600/peacock+feathers+in+blush.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmq_xEVI_fpjvMM2DMsTs3dLFHEIkHO8oXMtmaT1h_YjZiYJ5qmyXZuNGdB7DZvlIa9DWCiP3cupDQ4GoYEbGvoQ0Hy0cmGGUaT3dH5Wf2iFwheDlEVmvNHRGFmh0YZSxXoSqQQqN0kco/s320/peacock+feathers+in+blush.jpg" width="320" height="202" /></a></div> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>And Amy Butler’s Peacock Feathers in Blush for accenting fabric.</p> <p>Bridgette set up a flickr group if you want to join or follow along <a title="http://www.flickr.com/groups/lotuspattern/" href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/lotuspattern/">http://www.flickr.com/groups/lotuspattern/</a></p> <p>Hope you follow along this week!  </p> Carahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13351097880655586894noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4327900328119000315.post-86395711490234040842012-04-18T12:57:00.012-07:002012-04-18T20:03:50.398-07:00Cabo Halter Sew-a-Long!<p> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzc50-c6OMIUvH2TSLaoLV1zWGZpuAZ4m9DnsOt13VtemLSuxutTcrhm54_8EtetHH6e28Glp146QSjNBvbBKYb4PXx6YOGaChh2PrfNS3b2SEXfOaqWrFFg6ctpDGySlsvaFpGPwuy8c/s1600/cobo+halter+button.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 334px; display: block; float: none; height: 334px; cursor: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732843554201676082" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzc50-c6OMIUvH2TSLaoLV1zWGZpuAZ4m9DnsOt13VtemLSuxutTcrhm54_8EtetHH6e28Glp146QSjNBvbBKYb4PXx6YOGaChh2PrfNS3b2SEXfOaqWrFFg6ctpDGySlsvaFpGPwuy8c/s320/cobo+halter+button.jpg" /></a> <br /> <br /> <br />I participated in my first sew-a-long this past week with Susan from <span style="font-weight: bold"><a href="http://www.livingwithpunks.com/">Living with Punks</a><span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-weight: bold"></span></span></span>. Darts are pieces of fabric folded into a triangle shape to give the fabric some definition and shape to the garment. I’ve never done a dart before and the bodice calls for four because the bodice is lined. The darts didn’t seem to line up perfectly and I made them too small. I didn’t discover this until my bodice was completely done so let’s just say I had a lot of rework to do on day 3. <br /> <br /></p> <h3>Day 3 Attaching Top & Bottom and zipper. </h3> <p> <br />This is where I figured out that I made the darts too small. The bodice didn’t fit with the bottom pieces. So, I had to go back and redo all the bodice pieces. Yikes! I was almost ready to throw in the towel! But I’m so glad I didn’t. After I redid the darts (which I think I’ve mastered now :) ) my pieces fit together nicely. <br />Next I attached my first invisible zipper. I don’t enjoy putting zippers in but this one went really well and much faster than I thought. Then I had to hem the bottom of the top. For the final touch I added some navy yarn lace trim, that I upcycled from another old shirt of mine, and hand stitched it in the center of the bodice. It went perfect with my fabric (Amy Butler's Love Ivory in Arabesque). <br /> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY587uhcP0aisxoV3JNWM1txuZ5TmdMMRX73A5WqQYXdk_m4NrRRnIDyfsbpZLTcvGJivYJnovN7ek_KdMfFvAG4RPGQ_BahsBsLd718Y8LdyGNnuds_5oMzZuFRtnBck8hKJ_FWEYYk0/s1600/halter2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; width: 312px; display: inline; height: 391px; cursor: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732842613622907714" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY587uhcP0aisxoV3JNWM1txuZ5TmdMMRX73A5WqQYXdk_m4NrRRnIDyfsbpZLTcvGJivYJnovN7ek_KdMfFvAG4RPGQ_BahsBsLd718Y8LdyGNnuds_5oMzZuFRtnBck8hKJ_FWEYYk0/s320/halter2.jpg" width="319" height="399" /></a>  <br />I really liked this pattern. I love Amy Butler fabric and didn't know how her sewing patterns would be like. I'm really glad I joined the sew-a-long, and now I have a great summer top. I wished the pattern would have called for having the bottom side pieces serged (separately) before putting in the zipper. This way the edges would not fray or have the possibility of strings getting in the zipper. <br /> <br />Since I live in Iowa, it's a little too cool to wear this top by itself so I took an old sweater and made it into a cardigan. I used the same fabric as my halter top and now can wear it year round now! I will be posting a tutorial on this very soon to my blog. <br /> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd-Ut68CcWp8F_lI7lJhqTwG9dGJmSYrRQl3juRlCgXj1m9AnDnP3lxZWIVoAuV_7r879SkeftOGky58IDBURq8RDqDgM3Qom1gEoJI9p1ZZzpZUrFNe8GqWJkeEE8y3qxsiwHIwaHeH4/s1600/ct6.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; width: 323px; float: left; height: 475px; cursor: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732839261732785186" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd-Ut68CcWp8F_lI7lJhqTwG9dGJmSYrRQl3juRlCgXj1m9AnDnP3lxZWIVoAuV_7r879SkeftOGky58IDBURq8RDqDgM3Qom1gEoJI9p1ZZzpZUrFNe8GqWJkeEE8y3qxsiwHIwaHeH4/s320/ct6.jpg" width="328" height="483" /></a> <br /> <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlq3L8Ym9TxWl10ae0Fa5M5m304ASVqkhrOYB3rx_JEpGDgmyZurPazB5T5ahyphenhyphenxzKy6zNhgYZ6o0OOsi4fCKOS-3he-VI_vkEiCl24PhypS4ugPA1WvtsQWXFk4YVNh1UR3AJodkbpC0M/s1600/sweater1.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; width: 324px; float: left; height: 465px; cursor: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732842225919483218" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlq3L8Ym9TxWl10ae0Fa5M5m304ASVqkhrOYB3rx_JEpGDgmyZurPazB5T5ahyphenhyphenxzKy6zNhgYZ6o0OOsi4fCKOS-3he-VI_vkEiCl24PhypS4ugPA1WvtsQWXFk4YVNh1UR3AJodkbpC0M/s320/sweater1.jpg" width="330" height="473" /></a></p> Carahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13351097880655586894noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4327900328119000315.post-28261722918601402612012-04-09T06:55:00.006-07:002012-04-09T07:14:21.547-07:00Happy Easter!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsupblTYGHLwHF90VvnZ_KHG4csDY7eoKpB4Awm7LMFgqYNGAWLLpnPHjq2Rb8DGB2DGMUPYaVORVbbJT_-pVzxnAA5fq7cMmL3hYOlSbr3k-YVheU9glaRqe9fkH2-yes5K78H_osjJc/s1600/evangeline1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsupblTYGHLwHF90VvnZ_KHG4csDY7eoKpB4Awm7LMFgqYNGAWLLpnPHjq2Rb8DGB2DGMUPYaVORVbbJT_-pVzxnAA5fq7cMmL3hYOlSbr3k-YVheU9glaRqe9fkH2-yes5K78H_osjJc/s320/evangeline1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729403110484593570" /></a><br /><br /><br />I've been pretty busy this last week. With Easter approaching fast, I realized I had only one week until I had to get all three of my little ladies' Easter outfits finished! I knew I wouldn't have enough time to make three complete dresses so I decided to make a fancy skirt and embellish a t-shirt to match, and of course a new type of hair bow or headband. <br /><br />For the skirt I made up my own design and did my first lined skirt. I wanted a fluffy skirt so I added some chiffon that I ruffled and attached to the lining. My little ladies loved their outfits on Easter morning. Two of them did a little modeling for me to show off their new outfits. <br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3BS2kdXXm0VYujnJ9EeC8UmpWUteA00sA007_ZOh3sXqX8pD1Mk4pI_7SWC3zrJLN_kJxT6mNzMJjYUNS7TSHlyzN-zscVGyI-yCfmpE24c_NgLdPHQLDOQCWNDRZ0gLGRr1h8anZGD8/s1600/skirt1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3BS2kdXXm0VYujnJ9EeC8UmpWUteA00sA007_ZOh3sXqX8pD1Mk4pI_7SWC3zrJLN_kJxT6mNzMJjYUNS7TSHlyzN-zscVGyI-yCfmpE24c_NgLdPHQLDOQCWNDRZ0gLGRr1h8anZGD8/s320/skirt1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729402465606308418" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCEwev_-TJsBCzbWU3OOUG627sMe4k03Coa1nJTXPR7eVDS9OvvotdOjAYWxp3TcJHmZuFNQpQ502RyRxrSFB442lG24FNcNhChPdVHih-OxCQOpLci9Um04S3gEYYS0kuzqm-Xu7iDW0/s1600/ella2.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 191px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCEwev_-TJsBCzbWU3OOUG627sMe4k03Coa1nJTXPR7eVDS9OvvotdOjAYWxp3TcJHmZuFNQpQ502RyRxrSFB442lG24FNcNhChPdVHih-OxCQOpLci9Um04S3gEYYS0kuzqm-Xu7iDW0/s320/ella2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729401765213597490" /></a> <br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnoRfU6kGaHx7jN1TYHPV6RvsgNHltUGLcpO_w5vmsRqyZJPsrB35YJT5jg5ixU9htND4S_JAWEkQkp6Ft_gz5DVH74iF5XvoZByxykkjF64hDXFpvpEppM8qwVIIYcp9x7mLCIn7SZLg/s1600/girls1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 252px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnoRfU6kGaHx7jN1TYHPV6RvsgNHltUGLcpO_w5vmsRqyZJPsrB35YJT5jg5ixU9htND4S_JAWEkQkp6Ft_gz5DVH74iF5XvoZByxykkjF64hDXFpvpEppM8qwVIIYcp9x7mLCIn7SZLg/s320/girls1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729403694900950402" /></a>Carahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13351097880655586894noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4327900328119000315.post-52264868675904364512012-04-02T12:52:00.009-07:002012-05-23T17:54:50.813-07:00New Hand Stamped NecklacesI wanted to add some pictures of some of the recent necklaces that I have done lately. I love Pinterst and saw a beautiful girl's bedroom and from that I discovered Living with Punks blog. I love all her tutorials and saw she wanted to start a sew-a-long with an Amy Butler pattern. I love ♥ Amy Butler fabrics!!!! So this will be my first Amy Butler pattern that I've bought and am very excited to make something for me. Usually I'm either making something for my 3 little ladies, orders for my etsy shop, gifts for friends and family, or crafts for our Moms group. <br />The Amy Butler pattern we are making is the Cobo Halter. I will post how things are coming along. With having small children, I usually have my long bangs tied back and out of my face. I used to use the pretty clips and hairbows that I make for my girls, but only at home. So I decided to make myself clips that are cute, fashionable and do not look like little girl clips or hairbows. <br />Here are a few that I will be listing in my etsy store. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCpjAYHlbifo1Y8YpIZ8a1rQU0t5dyGMMd5mr8shxI23IKnbinsggAcA5VC17WGiZ8n0hUyfJlTZBQcyk54C1ctSi_wNPeytKrrNjd-qlGXvOWipI69N34BDW6xYraRf_kGIPFk5bUYzU/s1600/copper1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCpjAYHlbifo1Y8YpIZ8a1rQU0t5dyGMMd5mr8shxI23IKnbinsggAcA5VC17WGiZ8n0hUyfJlTZBQcyk54C1ctSi_wNPeytKrrNjd-qlGXvOWipI69N34BDW6xYraRf_kGIPFk5bUYzU/s400/copper1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671134085806230610" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwQOJtXaE1Eqeh-bQ31qUX9pjzQ1nnEzgbRgHxc9Mc6MeAtQAuliWLvGQ3UTrgK_2DHWWH-Du1IABvKvnAZ-sQxGKGjHiQ_1nm277m6L4Zv6G62u8H0R-n8Hkn-Zc1k7LJ0DWPjD96-Q0/s1600/three.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 276px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwQOJtXaE1Eqeh-bQ31qUX9pjzQ1nnEzgbRgHxc9Mc6MeAtQAuliWLvGQ3UTrgK_2DHWWH-Du1IABvKvnAZ-sQxGKGjHiQ_1nm277m6L4Zv6G62u8H0R-n8Hkn-Zc1k7LJ0DWPjD96-Q0/s400/three.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671133850214196050" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgieHK8V1TDk36_JwUM_WoWwW5i6mR_Z0wWl07mEfQd8Wp_x8P1VkqQjobjAwxQgbPALPid9luLDYrF3Ku_tex8_mU5IlL9pizaPUV2S6HxzJpdLMge9xqkjvT9OlB_kdiIFpM40ovDxUQ/s1600/side1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgieHK8V1TDk36_JwUM_WoWwW5i6mR_Z0wWl07mEfQd8Wp_x8P1VkqQjobjAwxQgbPALPid9luLDYrF3Ku_tex8_mU5IlL9pizaPUV2S6HxzJpdLMge9xqkjvT9OlB_kdiIFpM40ovDxUQ/s400/side1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671133698476239442" /></a><br /><br />And here is Fall Flowers Womens Hair Clip and Pin<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4uPCCAIyWNDnXA9WrXSgKlRoWDaUoP4nhLDfiRGtFkMfSD51CBrmayUQ3jyR_zC6eQ4E5AfnHS6P1rvdkqV3GdjTwfG2xHn_X1ZgYW3IcbEKYHowuhEoqZ1OAIITdNkoPEaO9oA0fH5c/s1600/autumn2.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4uPCCAIyWNDnXA9WrXSgKlRoWDaUoP4nhLDfiRGtFkMfSD51CBrmayUQ3jyR_zC6eQ4E5AfnHS6P1rvdkqV3GdjTwfG2xHn_X1ZgYW3IcbEKYHowuhEoqZ1OAIITdNkoPEaO9oA0fH5c/s400/autumn2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671134415197525218" /></a><br /><br />A beautiful hair clip and pin for women. I designed this cluster of Fall flowers to match with any browns, creams, and yellow outfits. It measures 3 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. The large flower is made up of two tones of brown, brown lace, and a glass cream pearl. The smaller flowers cluster around. Great for special occasions, family pictures, weddings, and everyday wear.<br />This hair clip also has a pin and can be worn on a sweater, jacket, or even a purse.Carahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13351097880655586894noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4327900328119000315.post-89824054223557845672011-09-05T06:58:00.000-07:002011-09-05T07:13:51.965-07:00New products!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLF1iN-Q1wlYnDa4aifz1aUFC7c98t2JMeY-DCbOZOnJLKuYInjvOe1PTrFd0UCeWLJC_DA_nxtdr_I2TYjCBHsOIKf7oj1KvzKEVkE5-2Lyami_PkgIxXEnO9sCvDCDTXkrM0jUek_T0/s1600/owl2.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 287px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLF1iN-Q1wlYnDa4aifz1aUFC7c98t2JMeY-DCbOZOnJLKuYInjvOe1PTrFd0UCeWLJC_DA_nxtdr_I2TYjCBHsOIKf7oj1KvzKEVkE5-2Lyami_PkgIxXEnO9sCvDCDTXkrM0jUek_T0/s400/owl2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5648875501061106690" /></a><br /><br />Here are a few new products coming to my store this week. <br />
<br />I follow a few craft blogs. I'm actually a craft blog junkie! I love tutorials, although I wish I had more time to actually complete even a fraction of them that I bookmark! My three little ladies keep me pretty busy but I finally put together my own tutorial. For my birthday I got a Silhouette SD and finally have found some time to get it going. I absolutely love it!
<br />
<br />
<br />First take an old or ugly frame and spray paint it. I've had this ugly gold frame around for years and painted white, it looks great!
<br />

<br />
<br />Next I look a piece of scrapbook paper and cut it to fit inside the frame
<br />
<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKK2p0Co7E0r5t6N6qsd6tPVJd391ip48E97RlHdCgAA6jwWJlPda20e1LYMDTCfyFSKhYCa3qC0UpRhYLnv0K1_03wOYbfBk0lTldzSUJJmUFLvdin1XmyoGNkrffsKGFi6TmeMWcRnM/s1600/frame3.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 260px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKK2p0Co7E0r5t6N6qsd6tPVJd391ip48E97RlHdCgAA6jwWJlPda20e1LYMDTCfyFSKhYCa3qC0UpRhYLnv0K1_03wOYbfBk0lTldzSUJJmUFLvdin1XmyoGNkrffsKGFi6TmeMWcRnM/s400/frame3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5644985321011920066" /></a>
<br />
<br />Then I gathered my piece of vinyl with what I wanted on the glass.
<br />
<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGgxYJOkHXW6g5E9gIbtbgBB8DdSH1hPzADyhXZPIBHaCw5i-mJoKiwTrufcR5Nj-yo5aXYtwmfnuW9bz28rpZ9zzZRhMs6WH5Ebie9hbcaTGZlDuKBY4jAL60tPqfqiP0w8-hNvvY9bk/s1600/frame4.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 288px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGgxYJOkHXW6g5E9gIbtbgBB8DdSH1hPzADyhXZPIBHaCw5i-mJoKiwTrufcR5Nj-yo5aXYtwmfnuW9bz28rpZ9zzZRhMs6WH5Ebie9hbcaTGZlDuKBY4jAL60tPqfqiP0w8-hNvvY9bk/s400/frame4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5644985711868541762" /></a>
<br />
<br />I next applied my vinyl onto the glass.
<br />
<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixqqOpFfCwJ5JO15Nnbg8FGzLorR83GpZwuuwVqJ23PTrVJiAkzRDXfO1cAyN9mNMxbABYDxbgACOyH6DtRUUCZZzhh-yyXyEPl2f_CKiBiTUni8djU0rshyphenhyphenLeBvTUiWHbCZVvto7sNK8/s1600/frame5.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 273px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixqqOpFfCwJ5JO15Nnbg8FGzLorR83GpZwuuwVqJ23PTrVJiAkzRDXfO1cAyN9mNMxbABYDxbgACOyH6DtRUUCZZzhh-yyXyEPl2f_CKiBiTUni8djU0rshyphenhyphenLeBvTUiWHbCZVvto7sNK8/s400/frame5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5644986201347043410" /></a>
<br />
<br />Then put it all together and here you have it!
<br />

It makes for one busy mama! My baby just turned 1! It's so hard to believe. My sweet Ella turned 5 the following week. My girls love ballet so I threw a Ballerina Birthday Party! Here are a few of my favorite pictures. I spent a lot of time on making all the decorations myself.
